CEC 360: 3D Modeling for Digital Media

Session 05

 

In this class we cover texture mapping and surfacing techniques.

•We will model a water bottle using lathing and prepare the surfaces to correctly render glass.

•We will create surfaces that will later recieve texture maps

•We tweak and experiment with textures in photoshop

Homework will be to model, texture and render a product containing some type of liquid product. We will render at 800x600 for this assignment and turn on raytrace shadows and raytrace refraction when rendering.

The folder should be named with your last name and ID # and contain:

• An Objects folder containing your Bottle.lwo object

• A Scenes folder containing your Bottle.lws scene

• An Images folder containing images used by your objects in the scene
