CEC 360: 3D Modeling for Digital Media

Session 03

In this class we continue coverage of both lathing and extruding and bevel operations. We will also cover clone functions and rail exrusion. Homework will be to create a spiral staircase, light it and render 3 snapshots. This will also be our second mounted assignment.

You will turn in 3 separate renderings each from a different camera angle, ONE 640x480 and TWO 320x240 all three on one presentation board AND a project folder with your work. When rendering, turn on reflections and set antialiasing to at least low or enhanced low. Just like the table homework last week, you will use basic textures and target your lights and camera with nulls.

The folder should be named with your last name and ID # and contain:

• An Objects folder containing your Spiral.lwo object

• A Scenes folder containing your Spiral.lws scene

• An Images folder containing images used by your objects in the scene
