CEC 360: 3D Modeling for Digital Media

Session 10

 

In this class we cover Animation II, The Scene Editor II, Graph Editor II, and Saving Animations as Quicktime Movies.

Topics Covered:

•Keyframes II

•Changing Timing of Animation, Adjusting Keyframe Tension, Continuity, and Bias

•More Pivot Points(Centerpoints)

•Animating with Nulls II

•Looping Animated Frames II

•Animating Deformations and Displacement

 

Homework:

Part One

Model, Texture, and Animate a Flying Butterfly.

You will render this as a Quicktime Movie at 320x240 with Antialiasing turned on. This assignment does not have to be mounted.

 

The folder should be named with your last name and ID # and contain:

• An Objects folder containing your Butterfly objects

• A Scenes folder containing your Butterfly.lws scene

• An Images folder containing images used by your objects in the scene(like the wings)

• A folder called Quicktime containing your Quicktime Movie

Part Two

• As discussed in class, begin developing ideas for Final Project.
